Blogger

By a show of hands, who has ever kept a journal? Diary? Blog?

Maybe when you were little you had a little pink book with a tiny key.

Whatever medium you’ve used I think we, as humans, enjoy staring our feelings, emotions, and experiences.

I think if many of us are honest (not all of us, just many of us) blogs have quickly turned into the journals of today. People share personal opinions and experiences with others, but more importantly with themselves.

“People don’t blog personal matters.”
“People don’t share real things.”
“People don’t blog like they journal.”

If you disagree with me read andykonigsmark.com

After reading the majority of his posts you’ll wonder if his wife beats him for sharing what he does.

It’s real.

I love the idea of blogging, but fail miserably at execution.

(If you want proof of that check the date of my previous post).

For me, blogging is less about the readership and more about the authorship.

The concept of creating and birthing an idea or a concept is so satisfying. Even as I write this post I find satisfaction from ordering words and articulating my thoughts.

Now I’ll ask you to raise your glass to the screen: “here’s to you, Mr. Blog, may you love the role you play in our lives.”
